How quickly can I expect a response when I contact your office?
We pride ourselves on responsiveness. Whether you call or email, you can expect to hear back from us the same business day, often within a few hours. We understand that legal matters are time-sensitive, and we prioritize clear, timely communication.
Do I need to come to your office for consultations?
While we welcome in-person meetings at our North York office, we also offer virtual consultations via video call for your convenience. We can accommodate your schedule and preferences to make the process as smooth as possible.
How long does a typical real estate transaction take?
Most residential real estate transactions take 4–8 weeks from offer acceptance to closing, though timelines vary based on factors like financing, inspections, and title searches. Commercial transactions may take longer depending on complexity. We keep you informed at every stage and work efficiently to meet your closing date.
What should I bring to my first consultation?
We’re happy to review documents that you email to us, and to consult with you over the phone or by exchange of emails.
For transactions we start with a review of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale. If you want help with your Will or Powers of Attorney, we can send you a questionnaire that will guide you.
For business matters, bring relevant contracts or corporate documents.
Do you handle matters outside of Toronto?
Yes. While we’re based in North York, we serve clients throughout Ontario. We use Teranet technology for real estate transactions province-wide, meaning you can work with us regardless of where your property is located.
What are your fees?
Our fees vary depending on the nature and complexity of your matter. We provide transparent fee estimates upfront and discuss billing arrangements during your initial consultation. For many real estate transactions, we offer flat-rate fees and add the disbursements that we incur on your behalf. We believe in no surprises, you’ll always know what to expect.
Can you help with estate administration after someone passes away?
Absolutely. We guide executors and families through the estate administration process, including probate applications, estate accounting, and asset distribution. We handle the legal complexities with sensitivity during what is often a difficult time.
